DBT therapists meet together as a team once per week. The purpose is to assist each other in delivering effective DBT to their clients. Specifically, therapists work together to enhance their general DBT skills, maintain strong motivation, and ensure that treatment follows the most evidence-based model.
Therapists also address their own difficulties, concerns and stressors related to their treatment of clients with DBT. This helps to ensure that therapists remain as effective as possible and feel good about the work they are doing.
