Dr. Amanda Beaman, C.Psych., received her Ph.D. from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. She has expertise delivering evidence-based treatments in both group and individual formats for older adolescents, college populations, and adults. Dr. Beaman provides CBT treatment for trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, stress, insomnia, and body-focused repetitive behaviours. Dr. Beaman completed her pre-doctoral training at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and later held a position there for several years as a staff psychologist within the Mood and Anxiety program. Dr. Beaman has provided extensive training in CBT to allied healthcare professionals, physicians, psychology interns and practicum students. Currently, Dr. Beaman also works as a staff psychologist within a Family Health Team where she has designed and implemented a group CBT program. Dr. Beaman is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the Canadian Psychological Association, the Association of Family Health Teams of Ontario, the Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies and the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies.
