Dr. Danielle MacDonald, C.Psych. (supervised practice), received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Ryerson University. She completed her predoctoral residency at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, with rotations in dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), eating disorders, and anxiety disorders.  Dr. MacDonald has expertise in providing DBT for borderline personality disorder and CBT for eating disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, and mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. MacDonald is also a postdoctoral fellow at the Toronto General Hospital Eating Disorder Program, where her research focuses on improving evidence based treatments for eating disorders through attention to trajectories of behaviour change in the initial phase of treatment. She is particularly interested in the role of emotion regulation in understanding and treating mental health concerns. She has published her research in scientific journals and has presented at national and international conferences.  Her practice is LGBTQ positive.
