Dr. Sheena Bance is a registered Clinical Psychologist. She provides therapy to adults with a range of mental health difficulties such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders such as PTSD, and coping with life stressors/life transitions. Her approach is primarily cognitive-behavioural. In collaboration with clients she is skilled at incorporating DBT skills into treatment as well as other behavioural interventions.  Dr. Bance is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE), both evidenced based supported treatment for trauma. She ccan provide CPT in group and individual formats

Dr. Bance also works at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) providing comprehensive assessment and evidence-based treatment to individuals exposed to work place trauma in the renowned  Work, Stress and Health Program.  

Dr. Bance has extensive clinical education and training. She completed her M.Sc. in Medical Science from the University of Toronto, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical & Counselling Psychology from OISE/UofT.   She has worked previously at CAMH, Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, CBT Associates and the OISE Psychology Clinic. Her Ph.D. research focused on the experience of Intimate Partner Violence in racialized women. Dr. Bance is deeply committed to the process of therapy and prioritizes building the  therapeutic relationship with clients. She has a warm, supportive, and collaborative therapeutic style. 

Dr. Bance is a member of the Ontario Psychological Association and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.
