Dr. Amanda A. Uliaszek, C.Psych., received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She has received extensive training and developed a wealth of experience in both cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavior therapy. She has specific expertise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and severe emotion dysregulation (including suicidality and self-harm) in both adolescents and adults. Dr. Uliaszek is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto Scarborough where she is the director of the Personality, Psychopathology, and Psychotherapy Lab which focuses on the assessment and treatment of disorders related to severe emotion dysregulation and personality traits related to the development of such disorders. Her work in personality, psychopathology models, and dialectical behavior therapy has been presented at several conferences across North America and published in many peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Uliaszek is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the Canadian Psychological Association, the American Psychological Association, the Association of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, and the Society for Research in Psychopathology.
